Day 1: Arraival - Ha Noi (L, D)
When you arrive in Ha Noi and check in at your hotel, you will take a short visit to Ha Noi’s Old Quarters with its 36 ancient streets and Hang Be market, a typical day market in Viet Nam. Day 2: Ha Noi - Ha Long - Ha Noi (B, L, D)
After athe journey of 3 hours with scenic landscape along the way, you will arrive in Ha Long and board a private boat to visit the Thien Cung cave (grotto of the Heavenly Palace) and Dau Go cave (grotto of the Wooden Stakes) and savor fresh seafood as lunch on the boat. You will be back in Ha Noi in the late afternoon. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 3: Ha Noi - Hue (B, L, D)
A short city tour will be offered. You will take a short Ha Noi city tour paying visits to the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem lake, and then depart for Ha Noi’s airport for a flight to Hue, the former imperial capital of Viet Nam. After checking in at the hotel, you will visit the magnificent Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market in the afternoon. Overnight in Hue.

Day 4: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L, D)
This morning you will sail on the romantic Perfume river to visit the most famous religious site in Hue: Thien Mu pagoda and thereafter the mausoleum of the former emperors Ming Mang and Khai Dinh, constructed as the king himself planned and chose the location in the middle of a pine forest.
Afterwards, you will leave Hue for Da Nang. The picturesque route passes Lang Co, a fishing village, which is strikingly charming for any photographer. In Da Nang you will visit the Cham museum, the best collection of Cham artifacts in the world. On the way to Hoi An, you will pass in Marble Mmountain, a large garden mount complex, a precious gift of Mother Nature acknowledged as a national heritage. When you come to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th century, there will be time for relaxation on the beach.

Day 5: Hoi An (B, L, D)

Today is a walking tour day in the center of this old town visiting houses of old merchants, the 400-years-old Japanese covered bridge, ancient pagodas and temples as well as colorful markets with shopping time available. The afternoon is for you to browse for souvenirs in Hoi An or perhaps ride a bicycle to the beautiful Cua Dai beach nearby. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)
You will leave Hoi An after breakfast for Da Nang’s airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City and then transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is for a city tour around the dynamic Ho Chi Minh City or Sai Gon exploring the War museum, Central post office, Notre Dame cathedral and the bustling China town.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (B, L)
In this departure day, you will be at leisure until going to Ho Chi Minh City’s airport for the next destination. The dynamic tour ends here.

Tour Detail:

Day 1: Hanoi - Nghia Lo (250 km, 7 h), (L, D)

Before the ride, it takes 30 minutes to double check the bikes and insure that we have all necessary tools and equipment to guarantee maximum fun. We head out of Hanoi skirting along Red River to Son Tay and then head up the mountain to Nghia Lo. The road í easy and flat from Hanoi to Thanh Son, from Thanh Son to Thu Cuc and then Ba Khe to Nghia Lo is beautiful, snaking the foot of Hang Lien Range. Nghia Lo is a big mountain town where we stop for the night.

Day 2: Nghia Lo - Than Uyen (180 km, 5 h), (B, L, D)
Wild and bumpy road with Lung Lo Pass as the first challenge. The next one is the higher Khau Pha Pass. We ride through the Mu Cang Chai massif, almost as high as the Fansipan. From the top, it offers one of the most beautiful views of North Vietnam. The ride is challenging but very rewarding. Night in a hotel.

Day 3: Than Uyen - Sapa (140 km, 5 h), (B, L, D)

The area of Than Uyen is mainly populated by Flower H'mong and Dzao people. Then direction Sapa. Easy track for 100 km and asphalted mountainous road for the last 40 km. Stay in Sapa and you will find out the reason Sapa is one of the most popular places for tourists in Vietnam.

Day 4: Sapa - Bac Ha (100 km, 3h), (B, L, D)
The drive from Sapa to Bac Ha takes ~3 hours, down from Sapa to Lao Cai (34 km), a border city where we can take photos with China as the background. After lunch, ride up to Bac Ha (70 km) with stunning landscape. Overnighting in Bac Ha.

Day 5: Bac Ha - Ha Giang (200 km, 6 h), (B, L, D)
After breakfast, ride on the track to Xin Man and on many small/back roads with scenic mountain views before joining the main road heading up to Ha Giang where we stop for the night and apply for a permit.

Day 6: Ha Giang - Dong Van (180 km, 6h), (B, L, D)

After getting the permit to ride in border areas at Ha Giang's Immigration Police, we ride on small challenging mountain roads (but incredibly beautiful) on the land of colorful mountain hill-tribes. Head up the Ma Pi Leng Pass. Here is yet another amazing place, with cloudy mountain ranges and the poetic Nho Que river winding off in the distance. Ride on a zig-zag track until Dong Van, a remotearea and
meet the hard-working local people here. It is inspiring to see how they survive as they manage live in the rocks. When we reach town we will have some extra time to wonder the ancient streets lined with H'mong homes of clay bricks and tiles roofs built centuries ago.

Day 7: Dong Van - Bao Lac (80 km, 4 h), (B, L, D)
The road is still under construction and tracks what make the ride relatively long in spite of few kilometres. The landscape is among the most beautiful of Vietnam, and the slow tempo is only more appreciable.

We cross the wild regions of the mythical province of Ha Giang. Stop for the night at Bao Lac, the ethnic crossroad of Northeast Vietnam. Many other ethnic groups on the two sides of the border meet at the market every Sunday.

Day 8: Bao Lac - Cao Bang (150 km, 5 h), (B, L, D)
Beautiful ride down to Cao Bang province. Few passes from where you can dominate the area. The road is easy but there are many blind curves. We can stop very often for photos. All together, stop for drinks and food it should be an 8-hour journey. Stay in a hotel.

Day 9: Cao Bang - Quang Uyen (140 km, 5 min), (B, L, D)
Ride in 1 hour and half to reach the beautiful village of Quang Uyen, in the middle of a mountain cirque. This is the territory of Nung An people. Home stay in a host family and the hostess is a great cook. We make our way through spectacular scenery to Vietnam's most impressive waterfall, Ban Gioc Waterfalls, 50km from Quang Uyen. Weather permitting we can swim right up to where the 50m high falls hit the river.

Day 10: Quang Uyen - Lang Son (180 km, 6 h), (B, L, D)

Ride from Quang Uyen to Lang Son on the famous historical Highway 4. We will have time to discover this city which has become a big trading post between China and Vietnam. You can shop for cheap Chinese products at the nearby Dong Kinh market. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11: Lang Son - Hanoi (150 km, 3 h), (B, L)
Easy day back to Hanoi on the new Highway 1B. You can wake up late in the morning as we guess you can be tired after 10 long riding days.
Arrival at Hanoi around 3pm. The tour end.

Leaving Hanoi and breaking out of the delta plains, we pass through endless limestone karst scenery as we travel south through “Thay Pagoda”, country and extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads. Arrive in Vulinh in late afternoon, here we stay overnight with friends of the Dao's minority in a traditional stilt house.

Day 2: Vulinh - BaBe National park, 200km 7hrs ride (B, L, D)
We have two options : one takes us around the very end of the Song Gam mountain range, enjoying good riding on winding sealed mountain roads; the other crosses over the very end of the range and takes us through untarnished rain forest on challenging, rocky road. The Song Gam mountain range is the main range of northeast Vietnam . From Tuyen Quang we continue on sealed road through renowned tea growing areas, where the hillsides are literally covered in plantations, From here it’s a short ride to the edge of BABE Lake, Overnight home-stay in the Tay's family.

Day 3: BaBe - Quang Hoa 170km 6hrs ride (B, L, D)
We leave Ba Be by a fantastic mountainous road, leading us along scattering high limestone formations and heavily forested hills. Further north is Cao Bang province, a remote area on the border with China. Cao Bang is sparsely populated. It has several ethnic communities in villages hardly affected by tourism. Cao Bang is famous for its graceful mountains, grottos and streams. Arrive in Quang Hoa in Late after noon, Overnight in family of the Nung's peoples.


Day 4: Quang Hoa - Lang Son. 160km 5 hrs ride (B, L, D)

Today we travel back in time - we go back to Indochina by driving the famous Colonial Road No. 4, where we pass villages like Dong Khe and That Khe. This place is well-known for its countless bloody fights during the 1950s between Viet Minh and the French Force. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Lang Son city and discover the central market. This market offers divers Chinese products as Lang Son is the trade-gateway between China and VietNam. Before checking in our hotel in Lang Son, we bring an interesting visit to Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh grottos.

Day 5: Lang Son - Ha long Bay.180km 4hrs ride (B, L, D)

Ride to Halong bay through the lush of Red River vegetation. Arrival Halong bay pier and check-in registration, board our boat for a stunning cruise amongst towering limestone back while enjoying lunch on board. The cruise will take you by exotic islets with shapes of Dog, Incense Urn, Sail, Fighting Cocks, which are naturally formed by process of erosion between the see water and limestone mountains. Get back to Halong City, Overnight at Hotel.


Day 6: Halong Bay - Ha Noi: 170km 4hrs ride (B, L, D)A new day wake you up with joys and emotions in an early morning for watching sunrise on sea. We ride back to Hanoi by taking many trails going through the red river Delta. Arrive in Hanoi by 5 pm, tour ends.

After breakfast, we take a taxi to get to the starting point at the outskirt of Hanoi, from here you take the bikes and start your firt day ride to Mai Chau.
Leaving Hanoi and breaking out of the delta plains, we pass through endless limestone karst scenery as we travel up to the Northwestern region, the extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads. Arrive in Mai Chau in late afternoon, night o a stilt house of the Thais Minority peoples, dinner with the family.


Day 2: Mai Chau - Phu Yen, 170 km, 6 hrs ride (B, L, D)
We backtrack on the main a few kilometres before embarking on a new road which s down the side of a huge valley, steadily falling all the way back down to the Black River Reservoir. The 50 kilometres route has plenty of challenging surface and is prone to landslides. Much of the area is inhabited by Kinh and both Black and White Thai ethnicities. Depending on time we can complete another side road which rises up the opposite side of the valley, offering impressive views over the area on a clear day. Just before the reservoir we breach a final steep ascent and pass by communes of Dao people, before the descent to the banks of the reservoir and a ferry crossing. Once across we follow the banks of the reservoir past village all relocated before the flooding of the valley. On easy dirt road we approach the delta settlement of Phu Yen, set in the middle of a vast valley floor of paddy fields. Overnight in Phu Yen.

Day 3: Phu Yen - Son La, 130 km, 5 hrs ride (B, L, D)

On good road looking high over distant mountains we head up into a forested region populated by H’mong people before descending into a mountainous tea-growing region. Soon after we follow a long valley floor covered in a sea of rice surrounded by Black Thai villages all the way to Son La with its bargain-filled market. Overnight in Sunrise Hotel.

Day 4: Son La - Dien Bien Phu, 180 km, 7 hrs ride (B, L, D)
Continuing the road no.6 to Tuan Giao after climbing the historic Phadin Pass where dominated by the H’mongpeople. Many stop for picture. Arrive in Dien Bien Phu in the late of afternoon.
(this road is now being under construction and it hopes to be finished in the middle of year 2009). Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 5: Dien Bien Phu - Muong Lay, 120 km, 4 hrs ride (B, L, D)

Take a visit of the old French battle field, we will be heading out northwest from Dien Bien Phu the road passes isolated communities of H’mong and Thai people, whose small villages settle the bans of dark green rivers and on the steep slopes of the mountains. After lunch by a forest stream the road begins to climb up one high pass. At the top for sunset before ping sharply into the deep Lai Chau valley. Overnight in Muong Lay.


Day 6: Muong Lay - Sapa, 180 km, 8 hrs ride (B, L, D)

If the days are right then we can visit one of three busy hill tribe markets as we head straight towards the main Fansipan Mountain range. The massive mountain range dominates the road until finally we must make a splendid climb up from Binh Lu and up to the top of the highest road pass in Vietnam (Tram Ton Pass). Crossing into Lao Cai Province at over 2000m the views looks out over the main range for miles and miles, before we descend to the mountainous Sa Pa valley. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 7: Sapa - Vu Linh, 200 km, 9 hrs ride (B, L, D)
We start from Sapa and ride to Luc Yen. A boat is waiting for you to bring you and the bikes to Vu Linh, at our Dao friends' village. You will cross all the lake (~3 hours) and we estimate that you will reach the village at about 17:00. Alternatively, we can ride from Luc Yen to Vu Linh. The welcome is exceptional and we hope you will not be too much tired. Overnight in homestay.

Day 8: Vu Linh - Hanoi, 180 km, 6 hrs ride (B, L, D)

After breakfast we cruise southeast on Highway 2 and then branch off to the sleepy town of Phu Tho. We follow the edge of the Red River along the dyke, almost to the point where it merges with the Black River after which they flow together to Hanoi. By now we are very much in the lowlands of the delta plains and the north’s main agricultural areas. Harvest time here is a sea of activity. Crossing the Black River by bridge, we pass through Son Tay and then return to Hanoi on the highway.

Day 1: Hanoi airport to hotel in Hanoi old quarter ( by car )

In the afternoon study and practice drive motorbikes.

Day 2: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Kan( 250 Km), (B, L, D)
Pick up at hotel. Start bike ride to Bac Can then we should stop for lunch on the way. First day easy ride up and down hill, scenery of palm trees with village of Tay and Nung a long the way.
Overnight in Ba Be lake homestay.


Day 3: Ba Be National Park - Cao Bang (140 km ), (B, L, D)

In the morning we take our boat cruise on Ba Be lakes. The national park of Ba Be is centered on large Ba Be Lake. This is just one continuous water body although its name means "three lakes”.
Afternoon ride 20 km outside Ba Be and up hill, turn off highway No3 to a quiet road, great view small village of Tay and Thai on the opposite of the river. Lunch on the way. We ride through several passes of PiaOac mountain range to Nguyen Binh, Here the H'mong, Zao, Tho and Nung ethnic minority people all live in harmony.
Overnight in Thanh Loan 3 star hotel - Cao Bang Town.

Day 4: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Falls - Cao Bang (200 km), (B, L, D)
Good paved road all the way to waterfalls. Up and down Ma Phuc pass. Scenic beauty of Karst valley, numerous Tay and Nung villages. lunch and swim at Ban Gioc waterfalls - the border falls between Vietnam and China, which boasts the largest waterfall in Vietnam.
Later afternoon We coming back to Cao Bang.

Overnight in Thanh Loan 3 star hotel – Cao Bang Town.

Day 5: Cao Bang - Lang Son - Ha Long( 300 km), (B, L, D)
Morning ride 67km to That Khe, passing 3 mountain passed and Dong Khe, That Khe. Lunch break in Lang Son. Afternoon we drive motor bike to Lang Son and onto Ha Long bay, nice sunset on arrival.
Overnight in Ha long bay 3 star hotel.

Day 6: Ha long bay on the ship 3 star (B, L, D)
Today we have time to relax after some day hark working on the way, in the morning you can go to free visiting Ha Long city, then coming back your hotel for check out the room.

Day 1: Ha Noi - Mai Chau (L, D): 160 Km
Start our motorbike tour by leaving Hanoi on dyke roads to avoid the heavy traffic around 9 am, we ride our motorbikes west to Mai Chau, an area of beautiful landscape and home to the Thai ethnic minority.

We will motorcycle on Highway 6 passing extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads punctuated by limestone karst scenery.
After a light lunch in Hoa Binh Province, we cross Thung Khe, one of the most beautiful mountain passes in North Vietnam then descent to the mountain valley settlement of Mai Chau. After dinner we join performance, where you can dance and share a range of special liquors (rice wine) with the locals.
Overnight in a house-on-stilts of the Thai people.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Ha Noi (B, L): 160 Km
Mai Chau is one of the closest places to Hanoi where you can experience a 'real' Montagnard village. In the morning we take a short walk around village to discover local life. Life in the countryside starts early so by sunrise there is a wealth of activity. The Thai women are masterful weavers who ensure that there is plenty of traditional-style clothing to buy in the village center. You will see women weaving on looms under or inside their houses in the village We can buy some handmade traditional-style clothing, knife or cross-bow.

After breakfast, let's do a 60km-motor ride around Mai Chau Dict on beautiful mountain dirt track and almost empty road before back to home-stay for lunch. And then we say goodbye to villagers and leave Mai Chau around 10 am. We ride back Hanoi by shorter way.
